A group calibre line up will attempt to join trial their way into the Speed Star this afternoon.
It is the final opportunity for greyhounds to qualify for the Speed Star, a match race series the fields of which are determined by times recorded at the track from 1 May to Sunday 9 September.
Trials will be run under full race conditions with times and replays to be posted here once completed, or you can follow the action live via Twitter @sandowndogs.

Nominations for the Speed Star close at 10am on Wednesday 12 September with the final match ups released soon after. The $190,000 series will be run on Sunday 16 September.
